Unity port!
The Unity port is here!
With this port come some advantages; I can now use lights (as these were glitchy in Godot), better performance, faster loading and VR. Along with this, you can now interact with buttons the same way as you can in Star Citizen. Hold down F and click a button!
Here's a real-time gif of loading the Anvil Arrow:
As you can see, it takes about 2 seconds to load the anvil arrow, which in the old version took 33 seconds!
At the moment of writing this, only the anvil arrow has been ported over to Unity. The ships that previously have been released should be relatively fast to port over too, as I only need to recreate the animations, so they should follow quickly.
Another few things to note is that when using VR, the pause menu currently doesn't work. This means you'll have to restart the game to load another ship. VR also currently only has smooth locomotion, no teleporting. This is also something I'll be working on.
If you feel nostalgic and want to use the Godot version, that's also still available for download!
If you encounter any bugs, don't hesitate to leave a comment, thread! Or if you want to send me an email at lowsignalstudios@gmail.com.
